| Opmerkingen |
The 105b is distinguished from the earlier 105a solely by a signature change — the transition from Savenaca Narube to Ilaitia Ravula as Governor, both signing during Fiji's turbulent post-coup period following the May 2000 takeover led by George Speight. The Reserve Bank continued issuing notes under the Elizabeth II series throughout that political instability, a deliberate signal of institutional continuity at a time when Fiji had been suspended from the Commonwealth.
De La Rue's security thread on this issue is a windowed type, one of the earlier applications of that feature in Pacific island note production.
