Opmerkingen

Belize had only gained independence from Britain in 1981 — meaning this 1980 note was issued while the country was still British Honduras in constitutional transition, though the Monetary Authority of Belize had already been established ahead of formal independence. The currency itself predates the nation it names.

De La Rue printed the series with a single watermark as the primary security feature, modest by the standards of contemporary regional issues but consistent with the Authority's limited early budget for note production.
