| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse displays the full Coat of Arms of the Commonwealth of the Bahama Islands at centre, featuring a quartered shield bearing a rising sun over sea in the upper half and a British galleon under sail in the lower half. The shield is supported on the dexter by a marlin and on the sinister by a flamingo, both standing on a grassy and watery base. Above the shield rises a crest consisting of a conch shell surmounted by a palm tree with tropical foliage. Below, a scroll bears the national motto 'FORWARD UPWARD ONWARD TOGETHER' in two lines. The denomination 'FIVE DOLLARS' arcs along the upper border and the date appears to the right, all within a beaded border. |
