| Reverse description | The shield of the Bahamas coat of arms occupies the central field, divided per fess: the upper half bears a royal crown on a plain ground, while the lower half depicts a British man-of-war in full sail. The shield is supported by decorative foliate mantling on either side. Below the shield, a scrolled ribbon banner carries the national motto in two lines. The denomination FIVE DOLLARS arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by the date, with two small sunburst ornaments in the lower field beside the motto scroll. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
