| Reverse description | The reverse features all twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac arranged in a circular composition around a central Ba Gua (Eight Trigrams) octagonal motif enclosing a yin-yang symbol, rendered against an antiqued silver field with engraved floral and cloud motifs in the Chinese artistic tradition. Each of the twelve zodiac animals — Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig — is individually applied in vivid polychrome colour, depicted in high relief with naturalistic detail among branches, rocks, and blossoms.
