Reverse description Three naturalistically rendered sugar maple leaves on a branching stem occupy the central inner field, their veining and lobed margins rendered in fine detail against a polished background bearing a holographic treatment. The initials TN appear in the lower left of the inner field, attributing the design to the engraver. The Chinese characters 希望之楓 (meaning 'Maple of Hope') are inscribed to the lower right of the central motif. The broad outer border carries the bilingual legends CANADA at the top, FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR along the lower arc, and the purity marks 9999 flanking the inner circle on both sides.
