| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau at centre, depicting a crowned Neptune seated and holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid, with a treasure chest and marine flora in the field, all within a shield cartouche. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by eight stars arranged symmetrically around the rim. | Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a detailed high-relief depiction of the Drei Zinnen (Tre Cime di Lavaredo), the iconic trio of Dolomite rock pinnacles, rendered with finely textured rocky surfaces rising dramatically from a rugged alpine foreground. A vibrant polychrome applique of alpine wildflowers in full bloom occupies the lower right field, providing a colourful contrast to the silver-toned mountains. The series legend MOUNTAINS & FLORA curves along the upper rim, while the inscription DREI ZINNEN / 2999 m appears in bold lettering at the lower left. The year of issue 2012 is inscribed within a decorative scroll banner at the base of the design. |
