Opmerkingen

The "Collector series" designation marks this as one of a small number of specially prepared sets that the Bank of Jamaica released for numismatic sale rather than general circulation. Issued during a period when Jamaica was navigating significant economic pressure following independence-era structural adjustments and the oil price shocks of the mid-1970s, these notes were packaged and sold directly to collectors, ensuring they never passed through normal banking channels.

De La Rue's involvement was continuous throughout Jamaica's early independence-era note production, making the printer relationship unremarkable — what distinguishes P#CS1 is simply the intentional non-circulation status from point of issue.
