| 背面描述 | A bearded bust of the Apostle Thaddaeus is rendered in relief at the centre of the puzzle-piece shaped field, depicted in a naturalistic style with flowing hair and beard. To the left of the figure, a book — his traditional apostolic attribute — is shown in relief. The legend 'THADDAEUS' is inscribed in raised letters along the upper arc of the field, identifying the subject. |

Liberia's authority to issue commemorative coinage is delegated almost entirely to foreign marketing firms — in this case almost certainly the Pobjoy Mint or a comparable contractor — with the Liberian government receiving a licensing fee and exercising little editorial control over the subject matter. The "Christ and the Apostles" series ran across multiple years and denominations, flooding the collector market with individually numbered apostle coins sold primarily through television shopping channels and direct-mail catalogs.
Thaddaeus — also recorded as Lebbaeus or Judas son of James — is one of the least documented of the Twelve, appearing in the Gospel of John only once by name.
