Aanvullende informatie

Nauru has no historical connection to Columbus whatsoever. These fractional gold pieces — issued by the Bank of Nauru under licensing arrangements common to the small Pacific island's collector coin program — exist purely as a vehicle for low-cost gold ownership dressed in commemorative packaging. The Columbus theme was almost certainly selected for its broad international retail appeal rather than any numismatic or historical rationale.
