Additional information

Niue has functioned as a licensing vehicle for the Perth Mint and other producers since the 1990s, lending its legal tender authority to collectible issues that have no circulation relationship with the island's roughly 1,500 residents. This coin is one such product — a privately marketed bullion-adjacent piece timed to the Lunar New Year cycle.

The Snake year runs from January 29, 2025 to February 16, 2026.
