Additional information

Tokelau has no legislature, no currency of its own, and a population under 2,000 spread across three atolls in the South Pacific — yet it has issued numismatic silver under New Zealand's administrative oversight since 2012, making it one of the more unlikely but prolific sources of modern collector coinage. The sailfish subject places this squarely in a competitive wildlife bullion niche that Perth, Niue, and several Pacific dependencies have been mining aggressively since the mid-2010s.

Charles III's effigy appeared on Tokelau issues beginning with his accession in September 2022, replacing the long-running Elizabeth II obverse dies.
