| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a dual-perspective composition depicting two Smilodon individuals rendered in high relief against a coloured savannah background applied in warm amber and brown tones. In the upper field, a full-bodied saber-toothed cat is shown in a prowling stance atop a rocky outcrop, its characteristic elongated upper canines visible and its musculature finely detailed. Dominating the lower and centre of the field is a large close-up portrait of a second Smilodon head in extreme relief, its massive saber teeth prominently displayed in an open-mouthed snarl. Acacia trees and a herd of prey animals appear in the coloured background, evoking a prehistoric grassland environment. The genus name SMILODON is inscribed along the lower left rim in bold incuse lettering. |
