Additional information

The Red Dragon of Wales entered the British royal heraldic vocabulary centuries before the Windsor line existed, but its formal association with the Prince of Wales title — and by extension the heir apparent — was codified under Tudor precedent. Charles III used it as one of his personal heraldic supporters during his decades as Prince of Wales. This coin folds that heraldic history into a frankly unusual format: a twenty-sided die shape, a conceit borrowed from tabletop gaming culture that New Zealand Mint has deployed across several collector issues.

Niue's role here is purely fiduciary — the island nation licenses its monetary authority for exactly these kinds of novelty bullion programs.
