| Obverse description | The coin features a highly unusual rotating two-disc construction divided by a central metal band, creating a split-face design. The upper half displays a finely engraved scene of a tall-masted sailing vessel near a tropical shoreline, with a gold-gilded figure of a bearded pirate captain holding a parrot rendered in high relief to the right.
