| Obverse description | Central field features the Public Seal of Niue enclosed within an ornate circular cartouche, surmounted by a royal crown. The seal is flanked by an elaborate occult-themed composition incorporating four runic or vegvísir-style compass symbols radiating from a central axis formed by crossed antler branches intertwined with a serpentine rope or vine wreath. The border of the coin is densely decorated in high relief with human skulls, vertebrae, bones, and chains in a continuous macabre frieze. The date 2024 appears at the top of the field, flanked by the Lithuanian Mint mark and the designer's initials 'mh', while the denomination '5 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower field. The legends 'PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE', 'ATUA', and 'NIUE TUKULAGI' appear on the central seal. |
