| Obverse description | The Public Seal of Niue is depicted centrally within an ornate cartouche surmounted by a royal crown, set against a richly engraved baroque acanthus scroll field that covers the entire coin surface. The seal itself features a circular design with traditional Niuean motifs and two crossed ceremonial spears below, accompanied by the motto scroll inscribed ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI. The outer legend reads 5 DOLLARS, MICHAEL, 2oz. AG 999, and the date 2023 is prominently displayed at the lower rim, while the words FINE SILVER appear on a ribbon at the base. A small engraver's monogram is visible at the top of the cartouche. The overall composition combines classical European baroque engraving with Pacific heraldic iconography. |
