| Obverse description | Right-facing diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II occupies the lower half of the oval field, with the designer's initials IRB beneath the truncation. The background is decorated with an intricate interlaced wave or fish-scale lattice pattern in relief across the entire field. Above the effigy, the denomination 5 DOLLARS is inscribed in an arc. In the upper portion, a decorative framed cartouche inset with a green peridot gemstone is flanked by the series inscriptions TH, Silver, and Glass Art in stylized script.
