Reverse description A stylized honey bee depicted in dorsal view, dominates the entire reverse field against a richly textured, granular background evoking ancient craftsmanship. The bee is rendered with finely detailed segmented abdomen, clearly articulated thorax and head, prominent antennae, and four outstretched wings symmetrically spread across the field. The design is inspired by the sacred bee of Ephesos, an emblematic motif found on ancient Greek coinage of that Ionian city. No legend or inscription appears on the reverse, allowing the naturalistic yet stylized insect effigy to occupy the full flan.
