| Reverse description | The reverse presents an elaborate allegorical composition evoking the cultural and natural heritage of Lebanon. At centre, a draped female bust wearing a floral diadem and ornate necklace is flanked symmetrically by two stylised winged griffins or phoenixes rendered in high relief, their necks arching inward toward her. Above rises a majestic Cedar of Lebanon tree, its spreading canopy finely detailed, set against a background of interlacing geometric star and lattice patterns inspired by traditional Levantine architectural ornament. The legend LEBANON is inscribed in spaced letters along the upper periphery, and the designer's monogram mh appears in the lower field. |
