| Obverse description | At center, a raised circular medallion displays the right-facing effigy of King Charles III, uncrowned and in civilian dress, modeled by engraver Dominique Thiébaut whose initials 'DT' appear below the truncation. The medallion is set against a sunburst guilloché field of radiating ridges in gold-plated relief, extending to the scalloped border. The circular legend reads '5 DOLLARS · CHARLES III' to the upper arc and '· COOK ISLANDS ·' to the lower arc, all in raised Latin capitals. |
