Beschrijving keerzijde Central design featuring a highly stylized representation of the sea-goat Capricorn, executed in an ornate Pacific-influenced decorative style with intricate scrollwork and floral motifs filling the body of the creature. The Capricorn zodiac symbol appears to the right of the figure alongside the inscription CAPRICORN. Aanvullende informatie

Tokelau has no mint of its own and no meaningful tradition of circulating coinage — its "issues" are produced entirely for the collector market, struck under contract by the New Zealand Mint. The Capricorn release is one entry in a recurring zodiac series, a format that has become a reliable revenue mechanism for small Pacific territories with limited land-based economic options.

Tokelau's total land area is roughly 10 square kilometers across three atolls, making it one of the smallest non-self-governing territories on earth. The coins are legal tender in name only.
