| Obverse description | The Public Seal of Niue occupies the central field, depicting a stylised floral motif enclosed within a circular medallion bearing a zigzag border, the whole surmounted by a royal crown. The seal is flanked by a wreath of olive branches, and two crossed paddles appear beneath in saltire. The denomination legend FIVE DOLLARS arcs along the upper field in large raised letters, while the Niuean motto ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI appears on a scroll beneath the seal.
