正面描述 The obverse displays the Coat of Arms of Fiji centrally positioned in the field, featuring a quartered shield supported by two indigenous Fijian figures standing as heraldic supporters on either side. The shield bears traditional Fijian heraldic devices including a British lion and sugarcane, coconut palm, dove, and bananas in the quarters. The legend FIJI appears in the upper field above the arms, and the denomination $5 is inscribed in the lower field below the shield.

附加信息

Fiji has issued gold bullion and commemorative coinage under its Reserve Bank authority for decades, but this piece belongs to a wave of miniature fractional gold issues that flooded the collector market in the 2010s — produced almost entirely for the numismatic trade, with no meaningful circulation intended. The Celtic theme has no geographic or historical connection to Fiji whatsoever; the subject was chosen purely for collector appeal in European and North American markets.

At half a gram, the gold content is negligible by bullion standards. These were sold at substantial premiums over spot.
