| Reverse description | The reverse features a gold-plated relief of the classic BMW 507 roadster (1956–1959) prominently rendered in three-quarter view occupying the central field, with a license plate reading N:1956. Behind the automobile, a finely engraved cityscape serves as a background, incorporating recognizable European architectural landmarks including towers and domed buildings. A circular logo reading 125 with a steering wheel motif appears at upper center. The legend BMW 507 (1956-1959) arcs along the upper periphery, while the series title Road Legends is inscribed in script across the lower middle field; the date 2012 appears to the right, and the inscription 125 YEARS OF AUTOMOBILE is boldly rendered along the lower exergue. |

| Additional information |
The BMW 507 roadster was produced from 1956 to 1959 in a run of just 252 units, priced so far above the American market it was intended to capture that BMW nearly went bankrupt on the program. Elvis Presley owned one, had it painted white to deter fans from identifying it, and it was later restored to its original red by BMW's heritage division after resurfacing in 2014 — two years after this coin was struck.
