| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Palau at center, depicting a shield with a sea god (Neptune-like figure) holding a trident and seated beside a mermaid, flanked by a treasure chest and marine vegetation, all surmounted by a traditional Palauan canoe with a figure paddling. The shield is adorned with floral and wave motifs along its border. Six five-pointed stars are arranged in the field on either side of the arms. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 5$ appears at the bottom of the field. The series name RAINBOW'S END is inscribed within the lower portion of the shield. |
