| Obverse description | Central shield displays the Coat of Arms of Liberia, featuring a sailing ship at sea, a palm tree, a rising sun, and a dove in flight, all within a cartouche bearing the motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE. The date 2005 is split to either side of the shield, with 20 to the left and 05 to the right. The circular legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA appears twice, once at the top of the outer rim and once below the shield, flanking the denomination 5 DOLLARS and the purity inscription FINE NIOBIUM .999/1.000 in the lower field. |

| Reverse description | Central design features the Atomium, the iconic Belgian landmark constructed for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair, rendered in gilt against the blue niobium field. In the lower foreground, two gilded coin effigies are depicted side by side: a Belgian 1 Franc coin dated 2001 to the left, and a 1 Euro coin to the right, with the Euro symbol between them. The curved legend 10TH ANNIVERSARY "EURO" arcs across the upper field, and the commemorative date range 1995-2005 appears in the lower exergue. |
