Obverse description The note is printed in purple and multicolour on a guilloche underprint of orange, blue, and green lathe-work radiating from the centre. A circular denomination vignette reading FIVE DOLLARS is positioned at left, while the supported Royal Arms with lion and unicorn supporters and the motto DIEU ET MON DROIT appears at right, accompanied by the territorial designation DEMERARA BRITISH GUIANA below. The bank's promise-to-pay legend occupies the centre field, with the date and dual manuscript signatures of the Accountant and Manager appearing at the lower portion of the note.
