Reverse description The reverse is printed in orange-red and pale blue, centered on a large ornate cartouche with elaborate scroll and lathe-work surrounds. 'THE BANK OF EAST TENNESSEE' is inscribed in bold letterpress across the cartouche's center, flanked by two circular guilloche medallions each bearing the numeral '5'. A mirror image of the obverse text is visible through the paper from the face side.
