Additional information

Issued as part of Belize's Queen's Residences series, this piece commemorates Balmoral Castle, the Scottish Highland estate purchased privately by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria in 1852 — notably not a Crown property but a personal royal possession, a distinction that has complicated succession arrangements into the present reign. Belize, formerly British Honduras, gained independence in 1981 but retained the Commonwealth connection that made such issues commercially viable for the Royal Mint-adjacent collector market of the 1990s.

KM#126 is a modest mintage piece with limited secondary market depth.
