背面描述 The reverse presents a highly detailed relief depiction of Ama Dablam, the iconic Himalayan peak in Nepal, its dramatic rocky faces and snow-covered ridges rendered with fine three-dimensional modeling across most of the field. In the lower right, a spray of alpine flora is rendered in full color, featuring yellow and orange blossoms against green foliage. The inscriptions AMA DABLAM and 6856 m appear in the lower central field, with the date 2012 on a banner scroll below. The series legend MOUNTAINS & FLORA arcs prominently along the upper rim.

附加信息

Palau has issued commemorative silver in volume since the late 1990s, much of it targeting the thematic collector market rather than any domestic monetary need — the island nation's official currency is the U.S. dollar. The Ama Dablam issue belongs to a mountain-series run produced for that market, with distribution handled almost entirely through European dealers and the secondary hobby trade.

Ama Dablam itself was first summited in 1961 by a New Zealand-led expedition that included climbers from the original 1953 Everest team.
