背面描述 A naturalistic spray of Vanda Miss Joaquim orchids, Singapore's national flower, occupies the lower and central field in high sculptural relief, with multiple blooms and budding stems rendered in fine botanical detail. The denomination numeral 5 is prominently displayed at the top of the field, with the word DOLLARS inscribed immediately below in slightly smaller lettering. The mirror-polished proof fields provide a stark and elegant contrast to the finely frosted floral design.

附加信息

Issued to mark Singapore's twenty-fifth year of self-governance, this coin appeared at a moment when the city-state was still consolidating an economic identity built almost entirely within living memory. Lee Kuan Yew's government used commemorative coinage deliberately — as instruments of national narrative as much as collectibles — and the 1984 series fell squarely within that policy.

The .925 silver specification places it among the more substantive issues of the Singapore Mint's early commemorative program, before later series migrated toward lighter and more economical flans.
