The 2013 series was the first complete redesign of Bahamian currency since the mid-1990s, introducing updated security architecture while retaining the broad visual grammar of earlier issues. De La Rue has been the primary printer for Bahamian notes through virtually the entire post-independence period — a relationship dating back to the Bahamas Monetary Authority's earliest issues in the late 1960s.
Pick 72A is the signature variant distinguishing this date within the broader 2013–issue family.
