备注

By the time this note was issued in February 2009, Zimbabwe's third-dollar series was already obsolete before it reached the public. The Reserve Bank had introduced the third Zimbabwe dollar in August 2008, redenominating at 10 billion to one, only to find hyperinflation rendered each new denomination worthless within weeks. The 5 dollar face value, notionally restored to something manageable, meant nothing in a country where monthly inflation had peaked at figures that defy conventional economic measurement.

Fidelity Printers, a Reserve Bank subsidiary, had been producing Zimbabwe's currency domestically since the foreign exchange crisis made overseas printing contracts impossible to sustain. The series was abandoned in April 2009 when Zimbabwe suspended the dollar entirely and permitted transactions only in foreign currencies.
