| Beschrijving keerzijde | The celebrated Quadriga atop the Brandenburg Gate is rendered in high relief at the centre of the field, depicting the goddess Victoria driving a four-horse chariot, surmounted by the Prussian eagle above. The massive neoclassical base of the Gate is visible in the lower portion of the design. The arc legend '20 YEARS GERMAN UNITY' curves along the upper rim, bounded by a beaded inner border. The commemorative date span '1990 - 2010' is inscribed along the lower rim, marking the twentieth anniversary of German reunification. |
