| Beschrijving keerzijde | A central intaglio vignette occupies the majority of the note, presenting a resting lion and lioness set against a naturalistic bush background with trees rendered in detailed line engraving. The denomination appears in each corner within ornate cartouches, and the value text runs along the lower border, all framed by a geometric guilloche border in brown tones. |

| Opmerkingen |
The Reserve Bank of Rhodesia continued issuing currency throughout the UDI period — Rhodesia's Unilateral Declaration of Independence from Britain in 1965 created the odd situation of a breakaway state printing its notes in London, at Thomas De La Rue, whose home government formally refused to recognize the issuing authority. De La Rue's continued involvement was commercially pragmatic and politically contentious.
N.H.B. Bruce served as Governor during a period of intensifying international sanctions and a grinding bush war. By the late 1970s, the economy was under severe strain, and Zimbabwe Rhodesia replaced the dollar in 1979 before the transition to Zimbabwe completed the series of reissues.
