Obverse description Black intaglio print over a red-orange guilloche underprint on white paper. The upper legend reads 'THE DOMINION BANK' with 'TORONTO' and the date '2ND JAN. 1935' centred below; the obligation 'WILL PAY TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND' and 'FIVE DOLLARS' appear in the lower register above the facsimile signatures of the General Manager and President.
