The reverse is engraved in a single green colour scheme, centred on a large heraldic vignette of the Royal Arms supported by a lion and a unicorn, with the motto 'DIEU ET MON DROIT' on a ribbon below. Two large guilloche rosettes flank the central arms, each bearing the word 'FIVE' split across the medallion. 'THE ROYAL BANK OF CANADA' is inscribed at the top, with 'FIVE FIVES' and the numeral '5' along the bottom border, and the printer's imprint 'CANADIAN BANK NOTE COMPANY LIMITED' in small lettering at the foot. |
