| 备注 |
The Quebec Bank, chartered in 1818, was one of the older English-language commercial banks operating in Lower Canada and later Quebec. By 1908 it was already in a weakened competitive position — it would be absorbed by the Royal Bank of Canada in 1917, one of several smaller regional institutions that failed to survive the consolidation wave that reshaped Canadian banking in the early twentieth century.
The American Bank Note Company in New York handled engraving and printing for a substantial portion of Canadian chartered bank issues during this period, a pragmatic arrangement that persisted long after domestic printing capacity existed. Reference P#1361 places this note late in the Quebec Bank's independent issuing history.
