| Obverse description | Central circular cartouche containing the Hijri date 1331 in Western numerals, flanked above by Arabic script denoting the denomination and below by the mint name, all within an elaborately decorated field. The surrounding annular band is filled with continuous Arabic inscriptions in flowing Maghrebi script. Diamond-shaped ornamental lozenges are placed symmetrically at the cardinal points of the inner border, and the entire design is enclosed within a finely toothed milled rim. The overall composition is characteristic of the Sharifian coinage style employed under the Alaouite sultanate. |

| Reverse description | A prominent six-pointed star (hexagram) dominates the field, its six triangular points radiating outward and each segment filled with Arabic inscriptions in Maghrebi script. At the center of the star sits a circular cartouche bearing the name and titles of Sultan Moulay Yusuf in flowing Arabic calligraphy. The spaces between the star points contain additional Arabic legends, and the whole design is bounded by a continuous circular inscription within a finely toothed milled border. The geometric star motif is a hallmark of Moroccan Sharifian coinage of the early twentieth century. |
