| Reverse description | A prominent six-pointed star (Star of David / Seal of Solomon) dominates the field, its six triangular points each filled with Arabic inscriptions. A central circular cartouche enclosed within the star bears the Arabic legends naming Sultan Yusuf and his titles in flowing Maghrebi script. The outer margin carries additional Arabic text around the entire circumference, bordered by a dentilated inner rim. The word ESSAI appears incuse in small Latin letters at the top of the design, denoting the trial or essai nature of the piece. |
