Obverse description The obverse field displays the denomination inscription in three horizontal lines of Arabic script, each line separated by a raised rule. The legend reads 'Khamsat Darahim Sharifah' (Five Sharifi Dirhams), rendered in a bold Maghribi calligraphic style. The entire design is aniconic, consistent with Islamic numismatic tradition, with no figurative elements. The field is flat and unadorned beyond the central inscription. The coin is bordered by a finely toothed inner dentilated rim.
