Obverse description Central field features the six-pointed Star of Solomon (hexagram) set within a small inner circle, surrounded by an elaborate interlaced arabesque geometric border forming a larger octagonal star pattern. Arabic inscriptions occupy the four principal lobes of the outer ornamental band, with the Hijri date numerals appearing in the lower portion of the central inner circle. The overall design is deeply struck in a decorative Islamic geometric style characteristic of late 19th-century Moroccan coinage.
