| Obverse description | The Andorran coat of arms is centrally rendered within a semi-open circular border, displaying the quartered shield with its traditional heraldic elements. The Latin motto VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR appears as part of the surrounding legend. The denomination 5 D. and the date 2012 are inscribed within the legend, alongside the country name PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA. The design is executed in a classical heraldic style befitting a sovereign issuer. |

| Additional information |
Andorra's small commemorative silver program expanded sharply in the early 2010s, with the Episcopal Co-Principality leveraging its unusual dual sovereignty — shared between the French Republic and the Bishop of Urgell — to issue collector pieces under its own monetary authority. The "Summer" issue belongs to a four-piece seasonal series, each struck to the same specification and released across 2012.
Mintages for this program were tightly capped for the collector market, with no expectation of circulation.
