Obverse description The obverse features the quartered coat of arms of Andorra at center, displaying the heraldic emblems of the four co-princes — the Bishop of Urgell, the Count of Foix, the King of Aragon, and the Viscount of Béarn — rendered in fine relief within an elaborate baroque cartouche surmounted by a crested helm. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR. The surrounding circular legend, separated by ornamental stops, reads JOAN D.M. BISBE D'URGELL I PRINCEP D'ANDORRA, identifying Joan Martí i Alanis, Bishop of Urgell and Co-Prince of Andorra.
