Aanvullende informatie

Kuwait's National Day commemoratives have been issued with some regularity, but the 55th anniversary in 2016 marked a particular milestone in the country's post-independence trajectory — Kuwait declared independence from Britain on June 19, 1961, making this issue a product of the 55-year reckoning with that break. The Central Bank has produced these in limited authorized mintages, largely for the collector market rather than any circulation purpose.
