| 备注 |
Jordan's first fully sovereign currency issue followed the dissolution of the Jordan Currency Board, which had managed the Palestinian pound-based system inherited from the Mandate period. The 1952 series marked the Central Bank's assertion of independent monetary authority — though the Bank itself wasn't formally established until 1964, meaning these notes were technically issued under transitional institutional arrangements that collectors sometimes find confusing when tracing issuing authority lineage.
Thomas De La Rue's involvement here is unsurprising; they held the Jordanian contract through most of the early independence period. The watermark remains the sole mechanical security feature — no security thread, no fluorescent elements.
