| Reverse description | The reverse is dominated by a large central vignette of the Roman Nymphaeum of Jerash rendered in deep red-brown intaglio, with a teal ornamental rosette medallion to its upper left. At upper left, the issuer name 'THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN' and denomination 'FIVE DINARS' are printed in English. The Hijri and Gregorian dates appear at upper right alongside a small bird watermark window, and a desert caravan scene in muted tones occupies the lower right corner. The text 'CENTRAL BANK OF JORDAN' appears at the bottom centre. |

Jordan's 5 Dinar denomination has been the workhorse of everyday commercial transactions since the dinar was pegged to the US dollar at a fixed rate of 1.41 in 1995 — a peg the central bank has defended without interruption through regional wars, refugee crises, and repeated currency speculation. That stability is deliberate policy, not accident, and the 5 Dinar note circulates heavily as a result.
De La Rue's Basingstoke facility has produced Jordanian currency for decades, giving the series a consistency of substrate and security architecture that distinguishes it from neighbors who have shifted printers more frequently.
