正面描述 The coat of arms of Tunisia occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing scales of justice and a lion on the lower quarters, surmounted by a galley ship, with the Tunisian crescent and star emblem at the top. The legend RÉPUBLIQUE TUNISIENNE arcs along the upper periphery in Latin characters, flanked by decorative foliate ornaments at either side. The numeral 5 and the denomination CINQ DINARS are inscribed along the lower rim in bold Latin lettering. The design is rendered in high relief with finely detailed engraving consistent with proof production standards.

背面描述 The reverse features a dynamic modernist composition commemorating the 18th anniversary of the political change of 7 November 1987. A large globe in high relief dominates the center, flanked by stylized architectural and technological motifs including a building facade and circuit-like patterns, symbolizing progress and development. To the left, the dual date 1426 / 2005 is inscribed in the field, referencing both the Hijri and Gregorian calendars. The inscription TUNIS 2005 appears at the upper portion of the field. The bold commemorative legend 18ème Anniversaire du Changement du 7 Novembre is prominently displayed across the lower half of the reverse in French.

附加信息

Tunisia's "Coup d'état" commemorative series marks the November 7, 1987 removal of Habib Bourguiba by Prime Minister Zine El Abidine Ben Ali — achieved without bloodshed through a physician's certificate declaring Bourguiba mentally unfit to govern. Ben Ali's government rebranded the event as a "Change," and these annual commemorative issues, struck in both Arabic and French legend variants, served the regime's ongoing project of institutional legitimacy. The French-legend version targeted collectors and diplomatic markets in Francophone countries.
