| 背面描述 | The reverse is dominated by an intaglio vignette of the Roman Amphitheatre of El Jem rendered in fine line engraving at centre, with a foreground of prickly pear cactus plants below. The issuing authority title 'BANQUE CENTRALE DE TUNISIE' is inscribed at top, with 'CINQ DINARS' and the numeral '5' at lower right against a guilloche underprint in green and ochre tones. |

| 备注 |
Thomas De La Rue printed this series for Tunisia throughout the early independence period, a common arrangement for francophone African states transitioning away from French monetary institutions after 1956. The Banque Centrale de Tunisie itself was only established in 1958, replacing the older Institut d'Émission, so by 1972 the central bank was still relatively young and reliant on foreign printing contracts for its higher denominations.
P#68 represents the second major 5-dinar type issued under the BCT, succeeding the 1965 series. Notes from this issue occasionally show uneven watermark registration — a known inconsistency across the print run, not a sign of forgery.
